STAHL CraneSystems

LogiMAT 2018

Our customer STAHL CraneSystems, one of the leading manufacturers of hoist technology and crane components, is part of the American Columbus McKinnon Corporation since 2017 – a worldwide group with over 40 brands in the materials handling industry. Besides STAHL CraneSystems, the group's most important European brands include Yale and Pfaff-Silberblau. Yale is the leading supplier in Europe for standard manual hoists. Pfaff-silberblau is one of the technology leaders in components and system solutions for mechanical drive and hoist technology.

At LogiMAT 2018, the international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management, the three brands wanted to present themselves for the first time on a joint stand. The 80 m² block stand is intended to illustrate the unity of the three companies under the corporate roof on the one hand, and on the other hand to clearly distinguish the independent brands.

We were tasked with the concept and complete realisation of the joint stand. A particular challenge here is the intensive coordination with the participating companies. Since each brand has its own corporate design, this must be reflected in the exhibition stand. The various trade fair exhibits also require very different forms of presentation. Nevertheless, the joint stand must not look like a “mixed-up vendor's tray” at the end of the day.

VISUELL has implemented our specifications professionally and with great attention to detail. Also, the technical requirements were expertly realised. At this point we would like to thank the whole team again! We are looking forward to a joint LogiMAT 2019.

Under the guiding principle “Partners in Motion Control”, we develop an open and bright trade fair stand, which allows plenty of space for discussions, activities and the exhibits. The claim appears in conjunction with the three logos on the ceiling suspensions and “roofs” the exhibition stand. The three brands thus appear as equal partners within a large group and proudly show this solidarity.

The independence of the companies is created primarily in terms of space. Each brand presents itself on one of the 4 sides of the stand. The fourth page uses a three-dimensional graphic to illustrate the product range of STAHL CraneSystems, Yale and Pfaff-silberblau in a production hall. Each exhibition stand area is developed together with the respective company, always keeping the big picture in view. We create the design of the exhibition walls, the labelling of the exhibits and even the layout of the give-aways to suit each company. Basic design elements run like a red thread through the joint stand. We also advise the companies on other stand elements, such as the stand clothing or the stand briefing of the staff, and develop solutions together.

In addition to the trade fair stand, we design and implement a stand evening where important customers and employees of the brands can meet and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. For this purpose, we prepare the communication in advance and organise the complete catering under the motto USA, the home country of Columbus McKinnon.

The balancing act between the commonality within a group and the uniqueness of each company is particularly effective during the three days of the fair. The stand personnel will present their company in a uniform and proud manner. Visitors to the trade fair spend a long time in the individual stand areas and make lively contact with the companies involved.
